Procedure & Requirements

To activate your Bulk SMS account, you'll need to submit the following documents as per BTRC regulations.

01 Required Documents for Non-Masking SMS
  • Copy of valid National ID / Passport / Driving License of the Signatory.
  • Copy of valid Trade License / BIN / Company TIN / Government Authorization / Ministry Authorization / Gazette / UGC Authorization (whichever is applicable).
  • API approval form, if needed (must be printed on company letterhead).
  • Terms and Conditions form must be signed and submitted along with the required documents.
  • Only local SMS traffic is allowed. Any international traffic is prohibited and punishable.
02 Required Documents for Masking SMS (Sender ID)
  • All documents required for Non-Masking SMS (see above).
  • Sender ID must be your registered company / brand name (max 11 characters, no space).
  • Sender ID approval form signed by authorized signatory on company letterhead.
  • Trademark certificate or proof of brand ownership (if applicable).
  • BTRC approval may take 3–7 working days after submission of all documents.
03 OTP & Transactional SMS Requirements
  • Describe the purpose and use case of OTP/transactional SMS in your application.
  • Provide your website URL or mobile app link for verification.
  • Sample message template must be submitted for prior approval.
  • API integration must use HTTPS with proper authentication.
  • OTP messages must expire within a reasonable time frame (recommended: 5 minutes).
